SOME MORE ZOMBIES

'The Creepy Little Kid'

So I'm adding some more zombies to the hoard, these guys are from Cold War Minis, I must say that Cold War miniatures produce some of my favourite zombie miniatures on the market today, everything from there stances to the amount of character sculpted into the minis and the level of detail that these miniatures have, easily make Cold War miniatures one of my top three Zombie producing Companies

So from left to right we have a Redneck Zombie that looks like he had his knee munched out, then there is the Creepy kid that we all like, but hate, he has multiple wounds to his abdomen and legs, then there is the business woman who has bite marks to both arms and to her shoulder and finally there is the Fast food cook who has bite marks to his thigh region and multiples to his abdomen, if that wasn't enough he also has a bung leg, life can be cruel sometimes even for a zombie.

MORE ZOMBIES...

So here is my next batch of zombies, these again are Cold war miniatures, (from Left to right) we have an aerobics instructor in her gym gear, looks like she received a bite to where her shoulder joins her chest, and you can clearly see how the virus has disfigured her face, right next to her there is a little girl that has multiple bite wounds, one to her left flank, another to her right thigh and a couple of bites to the back of her thighs... very nasty.

The other two zombies in the top picture are both males, (again from left to right) a nerdy male in jeans and a t-shirt, he has a bite wound to his lower right abdomen, the other male appears to be some kind of a construction worker complete with a hard hat, he has a wound to his right knee, it kinda looks like his knee has been mauled....knee reco needed please !

Again I went with the toned down gore and tried to give them a pale sick / flu like appearance with whatever wounds they have been sculptored with, overall they are nice miniatures and pretty easy to paint, so, the big thumbs up for Cold War Miniatures.

FIRST OF THE ZOMBIES

The Zombies are coming !

Well, these are the first four zombies that I have painted for this project, all of them Cold War miniatures, I have previously painted three Eureka zombies (the toxic variety) before, but they are the wrong 'type' of zombie, I want my zombies to look very human, very normal, but just infected, anyway here they are shambling around just waiting to get shot.

It took me a while to figure out how I wanted my zombies to look, in the end I went for a modest look, I'm not big on gore, so the key features for my zombies is as follows, must have a normal civillian appearence, skin tone must be a pale colourless sickly look, wounds must also be toned down, limited to severe bites or scratches, I'm not really interested in missing limbs, bone pertrusion, or anything really gross.

I may later on introduce different types of zombies ie. smart zeds, fast zeds and even zombie anomalies, they may not look like the typical zombie and they will certainly not act like the typical zombie, so keep an eye out for these freaks, the fun has only just begun.

THE INFECTED

Well, here they are 'The Infected' ... Brains!, there will be about thirty of them to paint, I decided that I will have a combination of slow lumbering zombies and fast moving ones, just to add some fear and randomness, Hahaha, so I've got Two Hour war games sending me there rule set, and have some military squads to paint up as well as some innocent civillians and zombie hunters, then I need some quite US country town (Maine) as my  terrain board, might have to resort too purchasing some plasticville buildings and weather them up a bit, yes I will do this.
