IMMERSION - ZOMBIE HEADSHOTS
I saw this video on someones website (cant remember who, srry) and had a great laugh at some of the content, Its a TV show called 'Immersion' and on this particular episode they decided to see how well your average person would do scoring headshots in a zombie apocalypse with a firearm, they get three people to take the test on there Zombie shooting range, some use a pistol while others use a shotgun, this video is full of goofy characters, gun action and cool Zombie dummies proped on rolling platforms, and all of this is inspired by the pc game Left for dead... check it out.

FIRST OF THE ZOMBIES
Well, these are the first four zombies that I have painted for this project, all of them Cold War miniatures, I have previously painted three Eureka zombies (the toxic variety) before, but they are the wrong 'type' of zombie, I want my zombies to look very human, very normal, but just infected, anyway here they are shambling around just waiting to get shot.
It took me a while to figure out how I wanted my zombies to look, in the end I went for a modest look, I'm not big on gore, so the key features for my zombies is as follows, must have a normal civillian appearence, skin tone must be a pale colourless sickly look, wounds must also be toned down, limited to severe bites or scratches, I'm not really interested in missing limbs, bone pertrusion, or anything really gross.
I may later on introduce different types of zombies ie. smart zeds, fast zeds and even zombie anomalies, they may not look like the typical zombie and they will certainly not act like the typical zombie, so keep an eye out for these freaks, the fun has only just begun.

SWAT REDUX
So I decided to revisit my Swat team, got rid of the old Eureka Swat team and invested in a beautifully sculpted TAG (The Assault Group) Swat team, I did this for a few reasons, the first of which was that I can see myself getting into some modern hostage rescue action, and Eureka's range just wasn't big enough, not enough specialists not enough variety, this was my first and main reason.
The second reason was that the Eureka range looked so so, the poses were not dynamic enough and a little repetative, overall a very average looking five figures, not what I had in mind, they were more of an impulse buy, having not even researched the subject.
Once I had a chance to look into, who made Swat miniatures there was hardly a choice to make, TAG Swat looked every bit as badass as you would expect Swat to be, Tactical Vests, Balaclavas, wide range of weaponary, Mp5's, M4 Carbines, Shotguns and Pistols, great sculpts with a variety of poses, can't recommend TAG Swat enough, great minis with badass attitudes.
I have a second Swat group ready for deployment but I am unsure as to whether to paint them a different colour uniform, or should I keep them the same and go for the uniformed look ? what do you guys think ?
